Re: Carrer Portal link gives blank page

Hi Neelima, on XAMPP, you need to change one of the opencats files slightly - see the last comment here;

Re: Error connecting to database

Hi, hadn't replied as I'm not entirely sure how to repair a crashed MySQL db on WAMP. But please follow the directions here which look the same as on Linux; https://www.devside.net/wamp-server/automatically-recover-from-mysql-crashes-and-table-errors Once it's up and running, it's easy to back-up an...

Re: SMTP mails not working

Hi, most likely this is due to some defaults changing in the package PHPMailer - which is used in OpenCATS to send emails. Please see this PR https://github.com/opencats/OpenCATS/pull/357 Basically PHPMailer will enforce TLS, even if you have configured it not to use TLS. The patch above will allow ...

Re: Error connecting to database

Hi Karol, sorry the errors will be in the log directory. Unfortunately you need to know where it's logging MySQL and APACHE errors. Assuming you are running WAMP then it'll write here to a file called error.log Apache in WAMPServer writes errors to the C:\wamp\logs folder or C:\wamp64\logs if you ar...

Thank you RussH!
I have in fact used a php version that was not compatible with the OpenCats version! It was a php 4 version. Now I took the right version and it works fine!
No problem, glad it's working for you now!

Re: MySQL Query Failed: Table 'opencats.module_schema' doesn't e

Okay, lets take a few steps back and check the basics. Can you confirm the version of opencats, mysql & php that you have? The PHP support envelope and tested version of MariaDB is shown in the release notes https://github.com/opencats/OpenCATS/releases/tag/0.9.4-2 - you need to be compliant with th...

Re: Implemented New Feature in OpenCATS

Hi Scott,

definitely interesting, however I'd probably add this into the 'optional updates' subdirectory as I'd expect anyone with this type of requirement to use LDAP / SSO for similar results?

I don't believe we even have many deployments with LDAP configured.

Re: Error connecting to database

Hi! Okay, possibly it's due to space or database errors. Hard to tell. can you see if you've run out of space? Also anything in the error log. It may be that the database has some errors due to frequent shutdowns - the error log should report database errors when the mysql server starts up. Certainl...
