Oops, looks like someone *really* didn't like the wiki. I've redirected the site to come straight to the forums temporarily, and I'll have a think about whether to resurrect the wiki or to move to a joomla site.

Thanks for the advice - it does remind me, I need to post the advice on how to configure the more recent SPHINX releases that'll support boolean operations in freeform text search. it's a little bit involved but very worthwhile.l
I kind of did it in the end... the main issue was the table extra_fields from all queries. In my cats database that table is empty and no results were returned in the joomla frontend even if there were some jobs added. Do you know when that table is filled? I tried a lot of combinations in add job ...
