If someone could elaborate on this, it would be a great help to me.

- changed main script name to jobs.php and place at root - so domain.xxx/jobs.php
- placed jobs board at domain.xxx/careers/jobs.php
and built the restr of the site at domain.xxx

I installed opencats under a sub-directory, and would like to put the careers/job section off the main directory, so www.domain.com/jobs.php.

I could go the easy way out and embed the careers page in an i-frame, but anyone would be able to view the source-code and see the direct link to opencats.
