With the current version, 0.9.1, the system only sends email notification when a job order OWNER is changed.

Desired functionality:
Automatic Email notification based on occurence of an event:

1. New Job Order Posted
2. Job Order Assigned to Recruiter
3. Status of Job Order Changed
4. Candidate Interview Requested

and so on....

Please advise - Vik

There is an easy mod for 0.9.1 to access certain functionality that was limited in the release. It's noted in these forums but in a nutshell you need to add a directory (rename is "asp", do NOT change the file extension to "asp"), I'm almost positive (though not 100% sure)this will open up some of the emails you are referencing. It also makes the career portal accessible.

These are the email options I presently have from the modded approach:
Status Change: Contacted
Status Change: Candidate Replied
Status Change: Qualifying
Status Change: Submitted
Status Change: Interviewing
Status Change: Offered
Status Change: Declined
Status Change: Placed
Status Changed (Sent to Candidate)
Candidate Assigned (Sent to Assigned Recruiter)
Job Order Assigned (Sent to Assigned Recruiter)
Contact Assigned (Sent to Assigned Recruiter)
Client Assigned (Sent to Assigned Recruiter)
Candidate Application Received (Sent to Candidate using Career Portal)
Candidate Application Received (Sent to Owner of Job Order from Career Portal)

Hope this helps!

Before I flip the switch and CATS begins emailing the world every time I make a change to the database can some either point me to some documentation or explain where email for these events will be sent?

Status Change: Contacted
Status Change: Candidate Replied
Status Change: Qualifying
Status Change: Submitted
Status Change: Interviewing
Status Change: Offered
Status Change: Declined
Status Change: Placed

I assume that the candidate will also receive an e-mail if the "Status Changed (Sent to Candidate)" option is set, and any of the items above are triggered.

The following appear to be pretty self explanatory, but feel free to comment if they are not:

Candidate Assigned (Sent to Assigned Recruiter)
Job Order Assigned (Sent to Assigned Recruiter)
Contact Assigned (Sent to Assigned Recruiter)
Client Assigned (Sent to Assigned Recruiter)
Candidate Application Received (Sent to Candidate using Career Portal)
Candidate Application Received (Sent to Owner of Job Order from Career Portal)

Thanks.

Hey ZenGuy,

it's just a matter of looking in the right place :-) - and you can test this if you want to log into the test site linked from here http://www.opencats.org/wiki/index.php? ... mla_module

Basically when you log an activity against a candidate (submit to pipeline) there's a checkbox in the activity popup that says 'Send email to candidate?'. If you check that box, it'll send the template email you have pre-configured from the Admin interface.

It's essential to keep these synchronized to ensur[…]
