First you have to make sure you have Perl installed. test it by typing perl on the prompt. If it's not, install it. Then, Install docx2txt (from here http://docx2txt.sourceforge.net/) and put it in ~/catsbin/docx2txt/docx2txt.pl Edit your config.php file to add the following (line 56 only): 53 defin...

I think Gate might carry the "open sesame" message. http://gate.ac.uk/ I am no longer looking for the resume parser from that narrow point of view. I think resume parsers by today's terminology are already old school. We need Brains of software inside the ATS to match candidates with jobs ...

We've solved this one long ago. I do not recall which solution, but i think it was a perl script. You'll have to install perl for it to work. I think it might be this. http://docx2txt.sourceforge.net/

If you're intrested, let me know. I'll find out for you. But its working fine with us.

Depends on the type of deployment you're looking to implement. If you're looking to deploy a large scale opencats installation(20+ concurrent users), you'll probably be looking into 2GB or ram, any dual core cpu will do if you're doing it on a linux server. For production, I always recommend a linux...

Well, Why would u want to go through all the pain of reinventing CATS when its already there and available today?! Why not use and extend opencats? Why do you want to reverse engineer it? I agree that its is a good idea, theoretically, but in real life i see no benefit of redoing it at all. Its nice...

I think we need to work on a version 0.9.2 with all the branding/licensing related code stripped down. This can serve as a main release to work on as the first OpenCATS version.

We can also brand this version as OpenCATS and release it under a proper GPL. What do you thing.
