 by zoomiest ¦  23 Sep 2010, 21:43 ¦  Forum: OpenCATS Talk ¦  Topic: Tuning CATS ¦  Replies: 1 ¦  Views: 2977

Why is it that my CATS database takes (consistently) 40 seconds to open up the Add Candidate screen? I don't remember this before... Is there anything I can do to tune this to open that page faster? I am using a Linux box, dedicated to CATS, publicly serving the Internet... it must have 95% idle time!

Re: How do you all deal with .docx?

RussH, Thanks. Also, I don't have the skills to make the adjustments to the config.php file, or to the document conversion library, without screwing things up... How is the progress on new 0.9.2 version? Should I wait for it, or should I be asking for help from some PHP developers to implement docx2...

I saw the reference that RussH made in the other forum here, about .docx formats. So, I wanted to open this up to the group - to see if anyone has found a solution do the .docx format? So far, I am just saving .docx files to .doc before uploading them, with a sign on my portal, listing acceptable fi...

Hello all. I had previously uploaded a stack up resumes. They were not all converted to candidates. I have gone back to upload some more, and the wizard seems to have an issue - it never showed me where to specify the upload directory... But the major point was that when I went to go rescan the dire...

Does HTML2Text fail?

I am just entering a bunch of html resumes into my CATS. I haven't done that for a while. After I upload each one of them, I DO get the magnifying glass icon, and I CAN click on it, and get the whole resume in text - so I think my html2text is parsing the resume okay. But I also get a couple of red ...

Within CATS, if you go to the Companies tab, and see the Go To My Company, I seemed to have set a company as My Company.

I would like to change which company that is, because it just resolves as Internal Postings, everywhere...

How do I change that setting?

Russ, Just getting Sphinx to run on its own has been a challenge. I haven't been successful in getting it to run - unless I ran the install program again... so I have just left it up. My question: in a previous post http://www.opencats.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=3&p=36&hilit=helphand...

A couple of questions: 1) I am having a problem with my Sphinx. After installing Sphinx_for_Cats on a Ubuntu server 8.10, and trying to search resumes, I get: A fatal error has occurred. Sphinx Error: Connection to localhost:3312 failed. Has anyone got this before? 2) I also went and installed the l...
