Jeez, I need to make a wiki page for this.. it gets asked so frequently.

Basically the function to take a resume inword, pdf, etc and parse it into a full candidate entry is no longer availabel to the open source application. The Closed-source version has now restricted ths functionality to their own server.

The good news is that there's an alternative free service (OpenCalais) that can do such a thing with a good api, just waiting for a developer to pick it u and integrate it to OpenCATS.

If you have an immediate requirement and aren't a developer yourself then you can use one of the free resume parsing services (free for low volumes) such as onlineresumeparser.com
