Migration of CATS

Migration of CATS#1160

Hi guys,

i need to migrate CATS 0.9.1. How to do this? Have i to follow the installation guide, set up a new CATS installation on WAMP and then restore from a backup?

Can you please help with some guidance?

Hi Arny,

wow - long time since I migrated.

1. backup everything - MySQL databases and application
2. install the new app.
3. during installation point the app at the existing installation - it should upgrade to the current level.
4. remember to do all of this on separate copy from your production one!

Hi Russ,

many thanks. Sorry, but i don't understand that much.

I am migrating CATS (not upgrading) from one OS/HW to another. So what i understood how to do this is:

- Migrate DB
- Migrate attachment folders

This shoudl be more or less all - or not? What about custom fields in CATS - will they be migrated as well?
