Import a resume

I can find no way to import a resume. To enter a new candidate with a resume I have to:
  • Add Candidate option under the candidates tab
  • A message displays that says "All daily resume imports used. For more, upgrade to CATS professional."
  • Then I have to open the resume, copy the address etc and paste in the box provided
  • Then scroll down to the resume section, browse for the resume
  • Now scroll to the bottom and pick "Add Candidate"
  • Go back in and open the candidate. Yeah...it converted the file to text, and the search can find it, but it did not do anything else...seems to me it should be able to pick up the file, parse it, dump the demographic information in the appropriate field etc.
Anybody have similar problem? Mass Upload is unavailable as well. Is there anyway to convert a resume into a candidate auto-magically?

Thanks for your help. :D

Hi Eric, I didn't want your post to be unanswered here - although we've exchanged emails. The resume import is/was a professional feature. The Community version does not by default provide these facilities.

Thank you Russ. This is a must have in the new version! :)
Added it to the wiki page at http://www.opencats.org/wiki/index.php5 ... Sky_ideas!

All,
This has been noted. In the version being worked on, we have included ALL professional features as part of the base Open Source set.

We would love to have more hands in the development. Join the dev list and jump on in!

See Russ for dev list assistance.
