hi all,

I have a multi fold question

My boss wants 2 instances of cats installed on our server (windows 2003) I currently have one installed and running

I did not install it i became an employee long after it was installed so its a legacy thing for me.

1) what are the exact steps to install cats on a windows server (2k3) running wampserver ( assume i know NOTHING)

2) is there anything i need to do outside the steps in question 1) to have 2 "instances" of cats running at the same time?

Thanks

Hiya - just a quick response here - am in the office doing some late night upgrades!

Okay - WAMP install instructions here;
http://opencats.org/documentation/OpenC ... Windows.29

I can't add a great deal more than that, as I've NEVER run this on a windows server.

However - intuitively, I'd expect you'll be okay so long as you have a separate database name and (just in case) user for the second instance of Opencats.

Please download the version here - http://www.opencats.org/documentation/O ... _downloads

...and post any problems you have!

I have set it up on windows with WAMPserver more than once and it's (I hate to say it) easier than a linux install. The instructions should suffice, the resumeindexingtools.exe is available in the downloads section of opencats.org.

Any updates on whether it worked all right?
