Hi,

I tried installing Sphinx for Cats (Cygwin) as described in the install file (earlier posted at http://www.opencats.org/forums/viewtopi ... tart=0#p25 ) and using the files from item H) http://www.opencats.org/documentation/O ... TS_Add-ons .

Per the install file:

Once the automated installer has completed it will create a file called "install_service.com" inside your new Sphinx installation directory (it will tell you where that is).

To install Sphinx as a service (this is necessary or Sphinx will not run after a computer restart) run this file as per the installer's instructions.

Although it seemed to install all right, and I do see the install_service.com file, the installer did not give any instructions about how to run the file (and just running it gave some kind of system error).

Ideas? Thanks in advance...

if you were asking about sphinx on Linux/Unix I'd be able to pitch in, but I have no ideas on windows (!). If you do find some solution to your problem, then please update the wiki with your findings.. seem to get allot of guys running the app on windows here!
