I would like to know a little more about what Sphinx does. By reading the forums, I saw that it can improve the speed of the resume search, and that there is an additional module. What does the module do? Is there any difference for the user, other than the improved speed? Is it used from the Candidate Search function, or is it a separate tool?

Hiya,

Sphinx is an entire Open Source Project in its own right - it's fully documented on its own website http://www.sphinxsearch.com/

... but the one line totally inaccurate summary is that it's a full-text search engine for (in this case) MySQL databases

So I guess that means it looks through all the DB fields. Does it also do full text search through CVs?
