Hi there,

Im a web designer installing opencats for the first time on my server.

While trying to connect with putty, no prompt appears. I cannot type to login.

Thoughts?

Connect to what? Shared hosting account? Who's the provider.

I just went through this with godaddy like a week ago. Now I have to try to remember what the issue was

I know what it was.

With godaddy, there were two logins/passwords. One for the main account, one for the cpanel. If that sounds similar, make sure you're using the cpanel login/password. If that's not the issue....a little more info on the environment would help.
