Before I go and reverse engineer CATS I was wondering if any kind soul has written down any architecture, development, standards, etc docs regarding the CATS source code.

Well, Why would u want to go through all the pain of reinventing CATS when its already there and available today?! Why not use and extend opencats? Why do you want to reverse engineer it?

I agree that its is a good idea, theoretically, but in real life i see no benefit of redoing it at all. Its nice and functional as it is today.
