I need to migrate opencats to another system. I need to export attachments. What steps do you recommend?
I don't know what to do with bak. How to open bak file?

It's a shame you leave OpenCats but you'll have your reasons.

A database migration is a serious job and not easy to do it right.

I don't think you can use the Opencats backup file and have to work within the Mysql database for a easy going migration.
Do you have the knowledge? Otherwise you are better off with a specialist.

If you're migrating to a new server..

just mysqldump the opencats database then backup the entire opencats directory .. transfer both to the new server.
